Its work moves through transhumanism and posthumanism, exploring the boundary between the human and the artificial, the biological and the designed, the mortal and that which aspires to transcend death.
Its imaginary is nourished by the exploration of the cosmos, spacetime, the mechanisms of life, the mind, cognition, consciousness, and the possibilities opened by technology and the evolution of human capabilities.
Depth psychology, biology, physics, astrophysics, and emerging technologies form part of this creative territory. As fields from which questions arise about the origin, nature, limits, and future of existence.
Visually, this universe draws inspiration from vaporwave, cyberglam, space glam, retrofuturism, 1990s pop culture, Pop Art, and Art Deco.

For Ligeia, art is a language that originates within and projects itself outward. ABOUT ARLYN LIGEIA
LUCA DESCENDANT…
Ligeia, also known as Arlyn Ligeia, is a Peruvian multidisciplinary artist working across film, music, fashion, and art.
She grew up in Peru, far from the film, music, and fashion industries. Film and music became her natural language and, having no access to any of those worlds, she learned to build her own.
She studied Psychology at university and complemented her education with studies in Audiovisual Communication and Fashion Management and Design. She currently holds a B.S. in Psychology and a diploma in Fashion Management and Design.
In 2021, she directed her first audiovisual work, a music video for an independent band, marking the beginning of her career as a director. In 2024, she wrote, directed, filmed, starred in, and edited her first short film, taking on every role in the production from beginning to end.
That same year, she was admitted to the Master’s Degree in Performing Arts at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. However, she decided to postpone this academic path in order to dedicate herself fully to building her own body of work.
After completing a music video and a short film, she is currently developing her first fashion collection and a mid-length film, while simultaneously working on her debut album and her first feature film.
Ligeia’s artistic trajectory is a conscious pursuit of inner authenticity. She embraces her femininity alongside her interests and passions, without separating them. In contrast to neutrality, she deliberately chooses visual and sensory stimulation as a form of fidelity to herself.
Ligeia defines her art as authentic and visceral, a space where she freely explores female desire. She identifies with the femme fatale archetype and with femininity understood as a deliberate force; a reflection of herself that becomes a recurring theme in her work.
She refuses to be confined by labels.

A horror content creator puts a retrocausal protocol to the test. What seemed like a simple experiment turns sinister as the rules of reality begin to break down around her.
CURRENTLY IN PRE-PRODUCTION
ALONE is Ligeia's first feature film. This is a deeply personal project, born out of adversity and a profound exploration of solitude during one of the most economically difficult periods of her life.
However, instead of giving up, Ligeia found a way to transform pain into art. The screenplay has been written by Ligeia, who will also produce, direct, star in, film, and edit the film herself.
This feature film will mark Ligeia's debut in the world of cinema. A science fiction story that blends psychological and cosmic horror with a deeply dreamlike aesthetic.
